Advanced compensation scheme for enhancing photovoltaic power quality

With the photovoltaic (PV) system becoming highly popular in distribution network, there is also a growing concern regarding its adverse impacts over power quality (PQ) of integrated system. This deterioration PQ hassparked new interest filtering techniques used systemfor mitigating these problems. In contrast to conventional passive filters now active (APFs) are being looked as predominant solution.This paper presents state-estimation based effective compensation strategy for enhancing performance employed APF scheme. A novel control technique enhancement proposed where Kalman approach has been applied generating reference signals. Also, an adaptive hysteresis band here switching strategy. Thus enhanced filter achieved with reduced complexity and better elimination distortions. Simulated results obtained MATLAB/Simulink platform have analyzed completely, superiority algorithm demonstrated through leasttotal harmonic distortion (THD) source current among all existing filters.
